Elimination Communication (also referred to as Natural Infant Hygiene, the diaper-free method, Infant Potty Training and Elimination-Timing) is the natural and gentle way to deal with your baby’s elimination needs without using nappies (or at least with a limited use of nappies). This is the method used in most of the non-westernised world.
Parents learn to listen and respond to their baby’s elimination needs rather than allowing them to eliminate into a nappy which they will have to clean up later.
The benefits of this method are an increased bond between parent and child, avoidance of nappy rash, huge economic savings and a reduction in landfill waste.
